Signs of originality of Deer musk
On the Internet, a lot of fakes are sell under the guise of real Siberian musk
An authentic siberian musk deer pod has only half in the hair, and the other half without the hair. The hair may be smaller or larger, but one side will always be hairless. THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS! Everything else is not a Siberian musk pod, but something else. The Mongolian pod has almost no hair on each side, smells close, somewhat softer and calmer aroma than the Siberian pod, the grains are brown in color.
Musk grains also have signs of originality.
The musk grain has a specific animalistic musky smell.
Musk grains have a color from brown to black, it depends on the habitat of musk deer.
Inside the pod, there may be a little bit of hair and epidermis with musk, other parts should not be there.
Musk check method:
Put a little musk on a white sheet of paper and rub a piece with a hard object. Real musk leaves such a mark (see photo below) and completely smeared on a sheet of paper. If you don’t find that effect, you don’t have real musk.
